QUESTIONS
Closing and Restoring Questions
Why not just let the company lapse?
A company left unpaid is struck off the register rather than properly closed. Dissolution or liquidation closes it formally.
Do I need dissolution or liquidation?
Dissolution is used when the company has no remaining assets or liabilities. Liquidation is used when assets must be distributed or creditors paid before the company can be closed.
Can a struck-off company be restored?
Yes, through Reinstatement / Restoration. This normally means paying the outstanding fees and any penalties and bringing filings up to date.
Why would I restore a company?
Usually because the owners need it active again, for example to hold assets, operate a bank account or complete a transaction.
Can I order this if ACS is not my registered agent?
These services are for companies that have ACS as their registered agent. If your company is with another agent, contact us to discuss your situation.

What to Expect
You see your complete fee schedule and pay when you submit your application. ACS's compliance review takes place after payment. Submitting and paying does not by itself create a client engagement: work begins once ACS accepts the request and the engagement documents are in place.
ACS does not guarantee that a registry, government authority, bank or other third party will accept, approve or complete a request. Those decisions are theirs.
If a request is declined, refunds are handled under ACS's refund policy.
ACS provides legal letters, legal opinions and related legal services directly.
